How should milk tank cleaning be done?
Pre-cleaning is done with the help of water with a temperature of approximately 35oC and a pressure of 1.2 - 2 bar.
After pre-cleaning, with a basic cleaner, approximately 0.5-2.5% depending on the type and concentration of the cleaner, the water is mixed and kept in the tank at a temperature of at least 65 °C, and cleaning is done manually by means of a brush.
In places with a CIP washing system, this mixture is available in the caustic tank from the CIP tanks. From here, by pressing the boiler, all parts of the tank are automatically washed by means of CIP balls (spraying nozzles).
In CIP systems, after the basic solution, it is then washed with acidic solution so that no basic residue is left.
Finally, rinse with approximately 85°C hot water.
